Video narration
How can one tiny seed in a pot lead to another tomato plant? With warmth, water, and time, it opens and sends a shoot upward. Roots spread below; the stem rises, and leaves unfold. In the same pot, the seedling grows into a leafy tomato plant. As it grows, its stem branches, and more leaves spread out to catch the light. Then flowers appear. When pollen reaches a flower, it can begin forming a tomato. Not every flower does. But the tomato isn't the end of the story. Its seeds can begin the next plant. Inside the fruit are seeds. Not every one will sprout, but with suitable conditions, a seed can start growing in the pot, sending up a shoot and growing toward flowers and fruit. It sprouts, grows, flowers, and makes a tomato full of seeds-one can start the cycle again when conditions are right.
