Video narration
AWS has two common ways to run your app: EC2 and Lambda. EC2 is like renting a virtual computer, called an instance. You choose its size, start it, and it can run continuously. But you also manage it: updates, monitoring, scaling, and keeping enough capacity ready. AWS Lambda is “serverless” from your perspective. You upload small pieces of code, and Lambda runs them only when something triggers them—like an API call, a file upload, or a scheduled time. You don’t provision or manage servers; AWS handles the underlying infrastructure and scales automatically. So the key difference: EC2 is more control and more responsibility. Lambda is less management and runs on demand. Use EC2 for long-running or customized environments. Use Lambda for event-driven tasks and quick bursts of work.
