Is productivity really only a supervisor's responsibility-or something the machines create for you? On your shift, it starts at your workstation: keeping good work moving without avoidable waiting, defects, rework, or waste. Prepare your workstation, follow the standard process, and use materials and time carefully. Efficiency is not simply working faster. The employee is not just completing a task. Every safe, correct, timely choice protects the line-or creates more work for it. Check quality as you go. If something is wrong, report it early through your approved communication method. That early warning can prevent repeat work or a larger stoppage. Your workstation connects to the next step, and the next step to the whole line. So, is productivity someone else's responsibility? No. Do the job right, reduce waste, protect quality, and speak up early-and you help keep the whole line moving.
