If one drop of food coloring is diluted again and again, why would anyone expect a remedy made that way to heal you at all? Homeopathy uses like cures like: a substance that causes symptoms in a healthy person is believed to treat similar symptoms in someone ill. Many remedies are repeatedly diluted and shaken; practitioners believe each step makes them more effective. Some are diluted so far that no molecules of the starting substance are expected to remain. But a belief about dilution isn't proof of how a treatment works. That's the key difference: homeopathy's explanation is a claim, not a mechanism established by science. So can extreme dilution heal you? Homeopathy claims it can, but reliable evidence has not shown benefit beyond placebo. It is not a proven replacement for medical care, especially for serious health problems.
