Video narration
Have you ever created a profile, changed a student record, viewed it, shared access, or undone a change in an app-and wondered what manages it behind the scenes? That work happens in a database. SQL-Structured Query Language-manages its structure and data: creating, storing, retrieving, updating, and deleting information. But SQL is not just for viewing data. Its commands are mainly grouped into five families. DDL, Data Definition Language, handles structure: CREATE, ALTER, DROP, and TRUNCATE. Example: CREATE TABLE Students. DML, Data Manipulation Language, changes table data with INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE. DQL, Data Query Language, retrieves data with SELECT, as in SELECT asterisk FROM Students. DCL, Data Control Language, manages access with GRANT and REVOKE. TCL, Transaction Control Language, controls changes with COMMIT, ROLLBACK, and SAVEPOINT. So that app record is SQL in action: structure, changes, retrieval, access, and save-or-undo control. Follow ASAI for practical examples.
