Video narration
When a team project is due, confusion between boss and employee gets expensive. Who decides? Who owns the missed task? Vague expectations leave the boss feeling ignored, the employee blamed, and the deadline at risk. Think of it as a working partnership, not friendship or a command chain. On a project, the boss sets direction and makes decisions. The employee owns responsibilities and raises problems early. Both need clear expectations: what success looks like, who owns each step, and what support is available. Honest feedback prevents small issues becoming deadline emergencies. Managers give direction and support; employees communicate and follow through. Power is unequal, but mutual respect goes both ways. Trust comes from consistent behavior, not closeness. Judge it by the project: Are roles clear? Can people speak honestly? Do they deliver? Remember: healthy relationships are built on clarity, mutual respect, honest feedback, and shared responsibility-not friendship.
