Joan of Arc: France Fights Back

Just imagine two countries doing this for over a hundred years and no one could stop this war until she appeared. But her own story didn't end very well. 1337, the King of England wakes up and thinks, "Why not just become King of France, too?" Um, no. And that's how the Hundred Years War began. French knights in shining armor heroically charge forward and quickly realize the English longbow is no joke. Yeah, but Decades of war pass and France falls into chaos. The king is weak, half the nobility fighting each other. Looks like GG for France. But then, she appears. A simple peasant girl from the village of Domremy, Joan of Arc. No noble blood, no army, just confidence and one bold claim. I was told from above that I must save France. Joan is given armor, a warhorse, a banner, and suddenly she starts inspiring the army. Soldiers who were ready to run return to the fight. She helps lift the siege of Orléans, is wounded, but returns to the battlefield. She wins victory after victory in the Loire campaign and leads Charles VII to his coronation. Hope returns to France. We need to do something about this bloody girl. The English kidnap her and bring her before a church tribunal. Joan of Arc, you're accused of wearing men's clothes, hearing voices, dealing with dark forces, and not liking this video. Sentence, burn her. But hope did not burn with her. She was only 19, but she became a symbol of resistance that helped France reclaim its lands and win the Hundred Years War.
