English script (about 1 min 50) Scene 1 (0:00–0:15) — On screen: the title “Module 2: researching with AI”, a pile of books and a magnifying glass. Welcome to module 2! Here, you learn to use AI for your research without falling into traps. AI is a good helper, but it does not replace your own checking. Scene 2 (0:15–0:40) — On screen: a topic map with arrows to “main ideas”, “debates”, “authors”. At the start of a research project, AI is very useful for getting an overview. It can show you the main ideas of a subject and the points where experts disagree. It saves you time at the beginning. Scene 3 (0:40–1:05) — On screen: a book with a question mark fading away like smoke. But there is a danger. An AI can invent a book, an author or a date, and sound very sure about it. It looks real, yet it does not exist. Citing an invented source in your work is a serious mistake. Scene 4 (1:05–1:30) — On screen: three steps: “Ask for types of sources”, “Search yourself”, “Check”. The right habit: ask for types of sources, not exact titles. Then search yourself on a reliable website, like Google Scholar. For a summary, paste the text into your request. Without the text, the AI may make things up. Scene 5 (1:30–1:50) — On screen: a green check mark on “Check with a second source”, then “Module 3”. Remember this: every number, every date, every quote must be checked with another source. AI is fast, but you are the one who makes sure it is true. See you in module 3!

So change the way you ask. Do not ask AI to give you exact titles and references. Ask what kinds of sources you should look for. Then search for those sources yourself on a reliable service, such as Google Scholar. Treat the results as leads, not proof. And when you want a summary, provide the actual text. Without the text, AI may fill the gaps and make things up. Before you use a fact in your research assignment, check it. Every number, every date, and every quote in your work should be checked against another source. AI gives you speed. You give the work its truth. Use the map, then leave it and check the real sources yourself. See you in Module 3.
