Here’s a quick update from Amreli district in Gujarat. At the Ryadi Dam in Khambha taluka, officials have opened one gate by about three inches after a continuous rise in water inflow. The step is meant to maintain the dam’s water level and manage the extra incoming water safely. As a precaution, an alert has been issued for nearby low-lying villages: Nani Baraman, Moti Baraman, Chotra, Mithapur, and Nageshri. Residents are being told to stay away from the Ryadi river area. Authorities have also given strict instructions not to move around in the riverbed or along the riverbanks, and to avoid unnecessary movement near the water to prevent any incidents. We’ll keep you updated as conditions change.
