Video narration
How can a puddle look empty, yet one ordinary drop of pond water hold life? To your eyes, the drop is just clear water. But place it under a microscope, and you may find microorganisms moving through it-tiny living things sharing a world. Not every drop holds the same organisms. Some use sunlight or nutrients for energy. Others find food and move through the water; when conditions are right, they reproduce. The drop does more than carry them. It gives them water, food, and room to live-a tiny habitat, like a puddle after rain. But the water is not creating life from nothing. It carries a community that was already there and helps it survive. So how does life come from a drop of water? It doesn't, in that sense. The drop carries life while giving it water, food, and space to live.
