Video narration
On a jungle rock, a cobra wife faces her husband, and that familiar couple question is already hanging between them. "Where do you go every night? Tell me the truth." Her tone says this is no casual check-in. When one partner keeps going out on a nightly trip, even a simple question can carry a lot of suspicion. He answers with an easygoing little smile, hoping an ordinary explanation will settle it: "Oh, darling, I go out to catch mice!" It sounds straightforward. Catching mice is a tidy reason for going out at night; maybe he thinks that's all she needs to hear. But in a couple's conversation, the answer doesn't always end the questions. Sometimes it gives suspicion something new to grab onto. And she hears one detail, then turns it around. "Mice? Or were you visiting that neighbor nagin?"
