Video narration

1. First understand the EV (25 min) • Traction battery: large energy store that drives the motor. Do not confuse it with the small 12 V battery. • BMS: battery management system. It monitors and manages battery operation. • SoC: battery charge percentage now; not battery health. SoH: estimated remaining battery capacity/health, obtainable only when supported by appropriate diagnostics. • Inverter/motor: convert stored electrical energy into movement. Regenerative braking recovers some energy while slowing. • AC charging uses the vehicle's onboard charger; DC fast charging supplies DC through compatible equipment. Charging speed varies with conditions. Safety STOP rules (read aloud before site visit) • Never open the traction battery, touch exposed HV parts, disconnect orange cables, remove HV covers or probe electrical terminals. • Do not crawl under an inadequately supported car. Use approved lift/inspection facilities and trained operators. • If smoke, heat, unusual chemical smell, hissing, fluid leakage near battery, crushed battery casing, exposed orange wiring, or an HV warning appears: STOP. Keep people clear; do not charge/start/drive; contact dealership emergency/safety personnel. • Do not touch flood-damaged or crash-damaged high-voltage components. Carsure Academy | Mahindra EV PDI | Beginner training Page 2 • Road test only with dealer permission, valid driving authorisation, seat belts and safe conditions. Never perform emergency braking or high-speed tests on public roads. 2. Before starting: preparation and vehicle identity (20 min) Bring: charged phone, checklist, flashlight, tyre pressure gauge if authorised, tread-depth gauge, clean cloth, notebook, and approved photo permission. No HV tools are needed for Level 1. • Photograph the full vehicle, VIN plate/marking, odometer, dashboard, tyre sidewall, and dealer paperwork (with permission). • Compare VIN on vehicle against invoice and documents. Record model, exact variant, battery option, colour, manufacturing details, registration and odometer. •
