It's frustrating when the picture in your head and the one on the page don't match. You wanted one thing; your drawing looks like something else, and suddenly it feels easier to say, "I can't draw." That is where this young girl's story begins. She believes she cannot draw pictures. We know that much: it tells us how she sees herself before anything changes. But what happens next? The chapter itself hasn't been included, so we don't know what tests her belief, whether anything shifts, or how the story ends. We can't fill those moments in. Maybe the chapter gives us a surprise; maybe it takes another path. We need its real events to know. So hold on to this: thinking you can't draw is only her starting point. To tell her story, we need to see what happens next in the chapter.
