Video narration
Lencho watches hail flatten the crop his family depends on. You know the feeling of asking someone you trust for help, then waiting for an answer. Lencho writes to God, asking for 100 pesos to get through the disaster. He has no doubt his request will be heard. At the post office, the postmaster is moved by Lencho's faith. He and the other workers gather what they can and send 70 pesos. They are the people who answer his plea. But Lencho counts the money and sees what is missing. He believes God sent the 70 pesos, then assumes the post-office workers took the rest. That is the irony: the people who help him become the people he suspects. Lencho's faith stays strong, but he cannot see the human kindness behind the answer.
