Video narration
Your phone buzzes: "Your bank account will be closed. Click now to update KYC." You feel worried-but stop. A message that looks official can still be a trap to steal your information. Phishing is pretending to be a trusted service to collect passwords, OTPs, PINs, or bank details. It can arrive through SMS, email, WhatsApp, or a fake website. Watch for five clues: a strange web address, pressure to act immediately, requests for OTPs or passwords, language mistakes, and an unknown sender. Perfect spelling still does not prove it is genuine. Do not click. Check the official bank website, typing the address yourself. Never share an OTP, password, or PIN. If the account closure message includes a link, choose: A, click; B, send your OTP; C, verify it and avoid the link; or D, forward it. Correct: C. Pause. Think. Check. Then click only when you are sure.
