Video narration
The last piece is مِنْ فَضْلِكَ, min fad-li-ka, meaning "please" when you're speaking to a man. Now build your request at the table. Begin with هَلْ يُمْكِنُنِي؟-"Could I?" Add أَنْ أَرَى, and you're asking, "Could I see?" Keep those words, then add قَائِمَةَ الطَّعَامِ: "Could I see the menu?" Finish with مِنْ فَضْلِكَ, and the polite request is complete. Each new part stays attached to the words before it, so you don't have to remember four separate lines. You're just adding the next piece to the same sentence. So when you're ready to ask, say: هَلْ يُمْكِنُنِي أَنْ أَرَى قَائِمَةَ الطَّعَامِ، مِنْ فَضْلِكَ؟
