What will online shopping look like in the future? You already buy things through a website, a mobile phone, or an app. That everyday experience is e-commerce: buying and selling products and services through the internet. E-commerce is bigger than one store or one screen. It includes digital places where you purchase a product, arrange a service, or complete a sale online. But the future is not simply more of the same. New technologies are expected to make e-commerce more advanced. The first major influence is Artificial intelligence, or AI. AI is important to this future, but we do not yet have an explanation of exactly how it will work. That means we can identify its importance without inventing a detailed prediction. The answer is this: the future of e-commerce will be more advanced, with AI playing a bigger role in how people buy and sell online.
