Video narration
At lunchtime, a poor village priest sat before a plate with just one roti. A hungry child stood nearby, watching it quietly. The priest had little for himself, but he placed the whole roti in the child's hands. "Eat," he said. For the priest, it was his whole meal; for the child, a moment of relief. Afterward, the child went through the village, telling people how little the priest had at home. Soon, neighbors arrived carrying food. But they did more than leave it at his door. They sat with him, shared their meal, and asked what else he needed. His one roti had begun as a gift to a hungry child. That small kindness moved the village to care for the man who had fed one of their own. That day, they learned: when you share what's on your plate, no one has to face hunger alone.
