Your day has gone sideways, and you're trying not to show it. Then someone notices, sits beside you, and asks what would help. That kindness can make a moment feel less lonely. Jesus was asked which commandment mattered most. He answered: love God with your whole self, and love your neighbor as yourself. In other words, care for the person near you as you would want care yourself. Love isn't only a feeling you hold inside. Jesus ties love of God to how you treat another person. The person who pauses, listens, or offers help makes that love visible-not with grand words, but with attention. So when someone near you is struggling, don't wait for the perfect thing to say. Notice them. Ask what they need. Love God, and let that love show in how you treat the person in front of you.
