What if Earth ran out of water? Imagine the glass of tap water at home: you drink it, and the supply is replenished. But Earth's water isn't one giant drinking glass. Most is salty ocean water, and much of the freshwater is frozen or deep underground, hard to reach. Water keeps moving: sunlight lifts it into the air, clouds carry it, and rain or snow brings it back down. But the water cycle doesn't make every source clean or send water where people need it. The real danger isn't water vanishing. It's clean freshwater running short where it's needed. A place can face a shortage while oceans still hold vast amounts. People, crops, and wild animals depend on water they can actually reach. So, would all Earth's water disappear? Probably not. But if usable freshwater ran short, people and nature would face a serious crisis.
