Think of the little condiment sachet you tear open with lunch. Project Eco-Dose proposes that kind of flexible bag instead of a bottle and cap for water-based products packed in 100 millilitres or less. Solvent-based products are outside the plan. The charter lists unit costs: ₹25 for a bottle and ₹5 for a bag. That gap is the case for savings. The project also sets targets of cutting carbon footprint and logistics cost by 20 percent. But a cheaper pack has to work with the liquid, survive handling on the way, and receive approval. The team also has to check for leaks and whether production equipment needs investment. Those savings are targets, not results. The charter says studies are still in progress. So Eco-Dose is a cost-saving plan, not a proven switch: the team is still checking whether bags can work safely in production.
