Your teacher looks your way, and it is your turn to speak. You know what you want to say, but your words feel stuck. Maybe you worry your English has to be perfect, or that someone will notice a mistake. That quiet pause happens to lots of students. In class, you can begin with the introduction you already know: tell the group who you are. You do not need perfect English to begin. One simple sentence is already speaking English. Try it with me: "My name is Sam, and I like drawing." You can change the name and the thing you like. If a word feels tricky, take a breath and try again; practising helps you feel more ready. For your turn in class, begin with your name and one thing you like. Each time you practise, your voice grows stronger.
