Want to start coding but don’t know where to begin? Here’s a simple path from zero. Step one: pick one goal—build a website, analyze data, or make a small app. Your goal chooses your first language. Step two: set up one tool: a free code editor like VS Code, and a browser. That’s enough to start. Step three: learn the basics in this order: variables, conditions, loops, functions, and simple data structures. Don’t rush—practice each with tiny exercises. Step four: build mini-projects fast. Even “to‑do list,” “calculator,” or “quiz” counts. Projects teach you what tutorials don’t. Step five: get feedback. Use a forum, a friend, or paste errors into search and read the message carefully. Do 20 minutes a day, track what you learned, and level up one small project each week.
