Video narration
At Nora's kitchen table, her cookie is gone. The pantry door is still shut. "Did it disappear?" Nora whispered. She searched the kitchen floor, the way you do when something at home goes missing. A crumb lay beside the pantry. Then another. Tiny pawprints crossed the floor and led to a hole no bigger than Nora's thumb. She peered into the shadows. Was a monster hiding there? The prints were far too small-even the cat's paws were bigger. At the little hole, Nora heard a tiny sneeze. She held her breath. A little mouse peeked out from behind the pantry, nibbling her cookie. Each little clue had brought her closer, right there in her own kitchen. The clues had led her to a thief smaller than Nora expected: not a monster, but a mouse. Nora left one crumb for her new neighbor.
