Before surgery, one thought can feel frightening: what if I don't wake up after anaesthesia? It's an understandable fear. A clinic check of your pulse or blood pressure is a familiar starting point, but anaesthesia monitoring goes further. Throughout the procedure, the anaesthesiologist tracks your breathing, heart rate, blood pressure and oxygen levels. This is careful monitoring, not a promise of an outcome. Your plan is tailored to you. What questions do you have? Share them in the comments.
