Video narration
Look at Earth from above, and you’ll see it’s shaped into landforms—big features that make the surface uneven. Mountains rise high with steep sides, often in long ranges. Hills are smaller, rounded versions of mountains. Plains are wide, flat areas, great for travel and farming. Plateaus are also high and flat, like a table lifted above the land. Valleys are low areas between hills or mountains, often carved by rivers. Deserts aren’t just sand—they’re dry regions that can be rocky or flat. Finally, coasts are where land meets the ocean, forming beaches, cliffs, and bays. Spot the shape—tall, flat, low, or dry—and you can name the landform you’re looking at.
