Video narration
You're in class. The teacher asks a question, and you feel sure of your answer-until every other student says something different. Suddenly, being right feels less certain. At the time, many people pictured Earth at the center, with the Sun and planets moving around it. Copernicus reached a different conclusion: Earth and the other planets travel around the Sun. That is the heliocentric theory: a Sun-centered picture of the planets. But Copernicus had moved more than Earth. He made people rethink the place humanity held in creation. Copernicus arrived there through reasoning, mathematical calculations, and observations-not simply by repeating tradition. His idea helped set wider changes in science in motion. A belief doesn't become unquestionable because everyone shares it. Test it with reasons and observations.
