Your group assignment is due tomorrow, but the shared document is still half-empty. "We're behind" is a complaint, not yet a solvable problem. An analyst asks what needs to change: finish on time. A KPI-a way to measure progress-could be how many agreed sections are done at each check-in. Now the team has evidence, not guesses. Is work starting late, or waiting for someone's input? Numbers matter, but so do the people doing the work. Ask what's blocking them, and question the assumption that effort is the issue. Trace the assignment from choosing a topic to submitting it. A simple process map can reveal where work stalls; investigate why before changing anything. That's the real work: connect a goal to evidence that guides change. When your team task runs late, find the cause and test a fix-not just report the delay.
