Video narration
How many of Ravan's ten heads can you recognise in yourself? At Dussehra, we watch his effigy burn-but one traditional interpretation says those ten heads stand for ten flaws. Ravan was learned, devoted to Shiva, and powerful; his story still asks us to look beyond the spectacle. Pride: needing to be right. Anger: replaying a fight long after it ends. Greed: wanting more. Envy: measuring your life against someone else's. Desire without limits. Attachment to what keeps hurting you. Arrogance that makes "sorry" hard to say. Selfishness: always putting yourself first. Injustice: staying silent when you see something wrong. Cruelty: words that leave a wound. So when Ravan burns, don't only remember his defeat. Let that fire turn your attention inward. There's no fixed number. As Ravan burns this Dussehra, choose one flaw you recognise and start working on it.
