Imagine three little sounds coming together: sss, a, t. The letter s says "sss"; a has the short sound you hear in apple, and t says "t"-crisp, with no extra sound after it. Now keep those sounds close. Say them slowly: sss-a-t. Hear them join? Sat! Three separate sounds, one whole word. That's phonics: learning the sounds letters make, then blending them to read. You don't have to tackle a big word all at once; you can build it sound by sound. I'm Sugandanadevi, founder of Smarter Hive Learning Academy and a Certified Phonics Tutor. At Smarter Hive, we'll practise together with step-by-step lessons in reading, spelling, grammar, and language skills. Our goal is to help your child grow into a confident, independent reader, one small word at a time. Ready to make more sounds into words? Subscribe to Smarter Hive, and let's learn, grow, and read together.
