Video narration
You set aside a piece of bread for someone waiting at home. Now imagine giving away every bite you receive, because someone else is hungrier. That is Rahim Chacha. Blind and old, he begs along the road, collecting food and bread. He wants to carry it home and share it with hungry street children. Then, at home, he tries to give the food out. Something feels wrong: his wife acts as though the food is being shared, while he cannot see what happens. The truth is cruel and simple. She has been secretly selling the food, using his blindness to deceive him. Rahim Chacha's kindness was real. The betrayal was real, too. When the truth comes out, the story turns from giving to facing what was done-and to reflection. A person's kindness is never permission to cheat them. A hidden lie does not stay hidden forever.
