Video narration
Picture a childhood home at night: my father, mother, sister, and I were getting ready to visit a small village. It felt like an ordinary family outing. Then my father led us through the darkness toward the bus stand. The road was quiet, and the four of us stayed close together, excited to be leaving home. At the stand, we waited side by side. Soon, the bus arrived. We climbed aboard and watched the familiar stand outside the window. Then the bus pulled away. That was when the simple visit began to feel different. The night grew deeper as the bus carried us toward the woods. I was still a child, and the dark road made the destination feel unknown. All four of us were finally on the bus-and our nighttime journey toward the woods had begun.
