CHARACTER DETAILS
Tapan: A 14-year-old Bengali schoolboy. He must clearly look 14, with a youthful face, slim teenage body, short black hair and innocent expressive eyes. He must never look like an adult or young man. Keep his appearance consistent in every scene.
Chotomasi: An adult Bengali woman, warm and supportive, who interacts with Tapan in Scene 3.
Chotomeso: An adult Bengali man, mature and masculine, who appears in the later scenes holding the Sandhyatara magazine.
Scene 1 — 0–8 sec
Show 14-year-old Tapan sitting at a study desk in a modest Bengali middle-class home, passionately writing a story in his notebook.
Close-ups of his youthful face, hand writing and notebook. He looks excited and dreams of becoming a writer.
Scene 2 — 8–18 sec
Show 14-year-old Tapan imagining himself as a writer. His imagination shows his story being printed in a magazine, readers reading his writing, and people appreciating his work.
Make the imagination dreamy and cinematic, while Tapan remains clearly a 14-year-old schoolboy.
Scene 3 — 18–28 sec
Show 14-year-old Tapan interacting with Chotomasi, an adult Bengali woman.
Tapan enthusiastically talks about his story. Chotomasi listens warmly and encourages him. She appreciates his writing and gives him hope about publication.
Do NOT show Chotomeso in this scene.
Scene 4 — 28–40 sec
Time passes. 14-year-old Tapan waits anxiously for the magazine.
Show him waiting and wondering whether his story has been published. Gradually his excitement turns into disappointment.
Use softer, slightly darker lighting and emotional close-ups.
Scene 5 — 40–50 sec
Chotomeso, the adult Bengali male character, arrives holding the “Sandhyatara” magazine in his hand.
14-year-old Tapan notices the magazine in Chotomeso's hand. His eyes immediately become curious and hopeful.
Chotomeso must clearly be male. The magazine must remain in Chotomeso's hand, not Tapan's.
Scene 6 — 50–57 sec
Keep Chotomeso, the adult male, holding the “Sandhyatara” magazine.
14-year-old Tapan looks at the magazine with intense anticipation. Briefly show his imagination: his story printed in the magazine and readers reading his writing.
Scene 7 — 57–60 sec
Show 14-year-old Tapan looking emotionally toward Chotomeso and the magazine in Chotomeso's hand.
Tapan's face shows excitement, nervousness and hope. Slowly push the camera toward his youthful face and fade to black.
No textbook image. No reference image. No Bengali text. No captions. No subtitles.
Bengali voice-over:
