Video narration
During free play, one child tosses a block, then another. Friends pause, toys scatter, and play is disrupted again. Under pressure, the teacher responds angrily: "If you misbehave again, I will not let you play with anyone." Sad, the child sits apart. The room is calmer-but the child has not learned what to do instead. Now try this differently. The teacher comes close and says, "Throwing toys and disturbing friends is not acceptable." Then comes the familiar cleanup-and-return-to-play routine: "Let's pick up what was thrown." They gather the toys. "When you're ready, you can join the group by playing gently and giving friends space." The child cleans up, returns, and plays appropriately with friends. The boundary stays firm; the child stays welcome. Repair opens the way back to learning. A teacher's goal is not to punish, but to teach positive behavior.
