Video narration
How could a puddle reach the sky—and come back as rain? Follow a drop in the puddle. Sunlight warms it. Evaporation sends water vapor upward. The water hasn't vanished; it changed form and travels through air. As vapor cools, condensation gathers droplets into clouds. Then precipitation sends rain back to Earth. It collects in rivers, lakes, and oceans, ready to rise again. Where did the puddle go? It evaporates, forms clouds, falls as rain, and collects again.
