Video narration
When a ball flies toward you, which parts of your brain help you catch it? Three major regions share the work: the cerebrum, the large upper region; the cerebellum, beneath it; and the brainstem, at the base. Their broad jobs differ, but none works alone. They cooperate as you sense, think, and move. The answer: the cerebrum handles thought and senses, the cerebellum helps coordinate movement and balance, and the brainstem supports vital automatic functions.
