Hi, kids! Today we’re meeting a computer. A computer is a helpful machine we can use to learn and have fun. This big part is the screen. The screen shows pictures, words, and videos—like a little window. These are the keys on the keyboard. We can press keys to type letters and numbers. And this is a mouse. We hold it in our hand and move it. When we click, we choose things on the screen. We can use a computer to listen to stories, draw a picture, or play a learning game. We can even talk to family on a video call. Computers are not toys to bang on, so we use gentle hands, and we ask a grown-up for help. Great job—now you know what a computer is!
