Video narration

If a wire is connected to a cell, why doesn't an electric field remain inside it during electrostatic conditions? Initially, applied field electrons par force lagata hai. Since electrons are negative, force electric field ke opposite hota hai, so they rearrange surface par. This rearrangement creates an induced field opposite to the applied field. Dono fields balance hote hi net field inside metal becomes E = 0. This is electrostatic equilibrium. Electrons stop nahi hote; random microscopic motion remains. But net drift response zero ho jata hai. And E = 0 means conductor one potential par hai-so it is equipotential. Surface par field normal hota hai. JEE rule: electrostatic equilibrium mein conductor ke andar E = 0. Battery-connected wire mein continuous current is a different situation. So, metal ke andar E field zero hota hai because free electrons rearrange hoke applied field ko cancel kar dete hain.
