Is every robot intelligent? Take a robot vacuum. It senses the room, chooses where to go, and moves around your furniture. Robotics is the physical machine: the parts that sense the world and act in it. AI is software that interprets information and makes decisions. AI can exist entirely in software, without a robot body, and some robots simply follow fixed rules without AI. So here is the key flip: AI is not the robot itself. AI supplies the decision; robotics supplies the ability to sense and act. In the vacuum, information about the room helps AI choose a route. Robotic hardware turns that choice into movement, avoids an obstacle, and gathers new information. Useful independence comes from decisions becoming physical action. So, is the vacuum intelligent because it is a robot? Not automatically. Its AI helps decide; its robotics provides the body that senses and acts.
