Video narration
Could a music speaker put out a candle without touching it? Watch the cone move when music plays. An amplifier drives it back and forth, pushing and pulling the air. That motion travels outward as a sound wave: changing air pressure reaching the flame repeatedly. A small flame needs a steady balance of heat, fuel, and oxygen. The pressure waves shake and stretch it, spreading the flame and disrupting the burning zone. The sound does not smother the fire like a blanket. It makes the flame unstable. That balance breaks, and combustion stops. But this works mainly on small, nearby flames. The result depends on sound strength, frequency, distance, and the setup. It is not a replacement for a real fire extinguisher. So, can a speaker do it? Yes-but only for a small flame: its pressure waves shake the flame until it can no longer keep burning.
